Moon Knight Finale Gets Record-Breaking Runtime - Moon Knight T-Shirt

Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight has been quite a wild ride for audiences worldwide. Viewers have followed Oscar Isaac’s Steven Grant as he came to find out he shared his body with a second person, he was possessed by an Egyptian God, and that might be going crazy. The reception has been fairly glowing across the board, with Marvel Studios seemingly delivering yet another hit.

In the latest episode, audiences finally got the backstory behind Marc Spector and the trauma that gave birth to his Dissociative Identity Disorder. However, for many, the installment ended rather suddenly.

After all, there seems to be so much left for the series to cover. Marc has to be revived, Khonshu freed, Harrow defeated, Layla reunited with—the list seems long.

With how much the finale has to go over, one would assume the sixth episode might be a little lengthy.

Oddly enough, it looks like it’s quite the opposite.

Record-Breaking Finale Length

According to industry insider Amit Chaudhari, the upcoming Moon Knight finale will run approximately 44-45 minutes long on Disney+ in the U.S and other regions that feature subtitle credits. This will make it the shortest of all the live-action MCU show finales to date, breaking Loki's finale runtime record:

Moon Knight’s Conclusion May Be a Little Short

Marvel Studios' Disney+ projects have a tendency to falter in their finales. Both WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier had flawed final hours—even Hawkeye, whose conclusion was fairly strong, had entire elements stumble (see Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin).

Can the writers behind Moon Knight truly deliver a satisfying end with everything left to tie up? Will Harrow go down as one of the best MCU villains, or will his tale come to a haphazard end; possibly even a temporary stop.

It’s easy to worry about all of this. Rightly so, given the many loose ends that need tying up.

At the end of the day, however, audiences have no idea what their plan is yet—these 42 minutes could easily wrap up the series perfectly. Fans simply won’t know until next week when all is revealed.

Moon Knight is currently streaming on Disney+.
